Just bad luck?

Or does it run in the family....lol? I say that because things aren't going a lot better for my sister, planning her wedding. They went to look at the reception location they wanted and to get all the info. Well, the packet she got a while back said that it was one price if you didn't take their catering and another price if you did take their catering. So, anyway, my mom gets to the hall today to put the deposit down and well, guess what? Yeah, you dont HAVE to take their catering, but an outside caterer can NOT use any of their facilities...no ovens, stoves, refridgerator, etc. NOw come on. What caterer is going to want to prepare food at one location, bring it to the hall and let it sit waiting for dinner and have their names attached to cold food? They charge more money if you don't take their catering, so it seems that should cover the minimal expense of the kitchen being used for all of a few hours. UGH. so, while she really loves this place, she is looking for somewhere else. That is just rediculous. And to make it worse, the location is at Crossroads Village. For anyone not in my area, its an historical park. It has a very old church/chapel, blacksmith shop, old doc's office, etc...all set back in the 1800s i think. So, there are no motorized vehicles allowed inside the park. You have to park in the parking lot and walk to the church and then to the hall. They are having a horse drawn carriage for them to ride in. But, now, its looking like it will be all at another location. So, its already somewhat of an inconvenience to use their facilities, then they insist on making it harder. WTF? Anyway, I hope she finds a place that she likes that is still affordable. at least now she doesnt have to stress over decorating bc that place wasnt letting anyone in until 430 the DAY OF THE WEDDING. Meaning, she would have to push her wedding time back to like 5 or 6 in order to give someone a chance to set up and cover tables, put out centerpieces, etc. What a hassle. Everything happens for a reason (including these issues and me not getting the house i wanted...lol).
